Hi everyone, I just thought I would share something a little different with your today. I was preparing for a demo recently that included working with rub-
ons. The store I demoed in, is quite well established in this area....so I decided to try and be a bit more creative and find other ways to use the rub-
ons.
The trick is to pick a pattern that will allow you to cut the sheet into separate segments and then literally rub on a bit at a time until you have worked your way around the candle, be careful to make sure that once you start a segment you keep an firm hand and finish that part before moving on, otherwise you can lose some of the design.
The candle can be decorated in a multitude of colours for a multitude of
occasion's and makes a great personalise gift. Be sure to add a little card alerting to the possible fire hazards and
instructions on how to use the candle safely, for example slide the paper and ribbon off before use and make sure you don't burn right down to the rub on. If you tell the
recipient to make sure they leave at least an inch gap above the rub on they will be able to use the candle and remain safe. Though to be honest when they are made up like this they are rarely used as people tend to keep them as a decorative or
commemorative item.
Hope you like.
Hugs
