New Demo Date Added

Hi everyone,

well I have some very exciting news to share with you... I have been asked to demo at Vesey Arts & Crafts in Sutton Coldfield.

My new demo date is Saturday 5th December where I will be demonstrating how, with just a little imagination and some really wonderful paper products you can create wonderfully unique and special gifts and decorative items for your home.

There will be lots of tips and advice and a sneak peak of some of the things we may be doing in workshop sessions.

David and his team are a warm and welcoming bunch and have very much welcomed me with open arms.  I am really excited about meeting you all at this very exciting event.

Craft Inspirations Demo Day was a great success....

Hi everyone, just thought I wouls share some makes from my recent demo day at Craft Inspirations.  It was another great day at Craft Inspirations, we were demoing the fabulous new ranges from Bo Bunny, four to be exact... Tis The Season, St Nick, Flutter Butter and Gypsy. 

Pictured above are a few of the makes we made on the day nearly all of the above has been made using a combination of papers, 12 x 12 cut out sheets and 12 x 12 combi sticker sheets. The ranges are so versatile and easy to use and not a scrap will be wasted as you will see in the 2nd and 3rd photos... I have used the negatives of the shaped mounts.

I also wanted to do a card rather than a scrap page using the St Nick Paper, as it has a rather large Santa with a lot of nuetral space surrounding it.  By using some simple framing techniques you can use those large prints and bold patterns in your card making.

I want to say a massive thank you to Lou who was as ever was the hostess with the mostess and kept me supplied with lots of tea.

It was also love to see Shirley who takes the weekly clasess as I hadn't seen her for a whiler and some familiar faces such as Zoe, Elaine and Sandra to name but a few, so hello to all the other regular ladies too.

Saturdys Creative Open Workshops Paper Taster Session was fantastic...

Hi everyone just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who came to Saturdays Paper Taster Session, it was a fantastic night and here are a few of our ladies makes.

Bo Bunny Delilah Thanks

Morning everyone,

just a quick post this morning as am busy preparing for Saturdays Paper Taster Session, next weeks ball and next weeks demo day.  So no too much do this week!! LOL. 

I wanted to share with you this Card I made with Bo Bunny's Delilah range, the card has been made with the following:

2 Sheets of Bo Bunny Papers (Delilah)
1 Sheet of Bo Bunny Rub-ons
1 Sentiment Stamp
1 Brad
1 Sheet of 12 X 12 Paper Comapnay Metallic Cover Card

Cut a 6 x 12" piece of card and score in half.

You start with selecting the largest pattern from your rub-on sheet and cut it out with the backing still attached, lay the cut rub-on onto the card and when your happy with the position remove the backing and rub on.

The key to using rub-on's sucessfully is to use good quality rub on tools.

Cut two strips of contrasting paper and border punch one, now stick these two peices together and attach to card

use the little bits left from the sheet to create detail in the corners. NB remember to leave the backing on work out your placement and then remove backing and rub on.

Finally select two medium sized flowers from the rub on sheet, mount them onto separate card and cut out, to finish you can dress with a brad and use foam mout to give a 3d effect. NB I used a circle puch to cut out the circle shaped rub on

Tha'ts it a card for any occassion its that easy.

Saturday's Paper Taster Session at C.O.W Creative Open Workshops

Hi everyone, just to let you all know that I can now confirm that Saturday's class at C.O.W will be the above "Build A Flower" Shaped Card and matching box.  The class includes all materials and the "Build A Flower" Shaped Template as designed and created by myself.  The template includes everything you need to make the card and some additional shaped flowers for use with other cards. The template also operates an angel policy so this means that you will be able to use the template to re-create cards to sell on.

Creative Open Workshops (C.O.W) Paper-crafting a go go taster session a great success

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share with you the results of Saturdays Paper Taster Session at C.O.W on Saturday evening.  It was a fab fun filled evening with a wonderful group of ladies who took to paper-crafting like they had been doing it their whole lives.

We made a spiral bound covered note book and a lovely little flower topped photo wallet.

It was ovely to see everyones enthusiasum as papers and colour ways were selected.

We are meeting again this Saturday evening for another paper fix and I beleive that there are still a few places left. Place can be booked via the C.O.Wblog

We are looking for votes for next weeks project that our lovely crafters would be interested in... so please let Francine know over at the C.O.Wblog
